Overview

The olive varieties in this domain are highly prized both for their oils and the high quality table olives. The villa is set against imposing rocks to one side and the beautiful olive groves to the other in a classic Provençal landscape. It features panoramic views of the Alpilles and is located within a short drive to the small village of Mouries and the golf course.

Keeping with traditional style, the interior of the Mas is of high quality and generates a peaceful atmosphere with a wonderful balance of old and new, creating a feeling of warmth and charm. The interior is an elegant blend of antiques and good quality furniture and is very tastefully decorated with modern touches. The accommodation is on two levels: the main living area consists of a large living room with piano opening to a scenic balcony, a separate dining room, and a very well equipped modern kitchen with breakfast area opening onto a large covered terrace. Also on this floor is a separate water closet and two double bedrooms (one with a terrace) which share a bathroom with WC.

On the lower level are two double bedrooms. The master bedroom includes a double bed, dressing area, and a large en-suite bathroom with a separate shower, water closet, sauna and a hamman. This bedroom opens up to the garden. The second bedroom has a double bed with en-suite shower room with water closet and opens up to a verandah and garden.

Finally there is the annex, with external access only and contains a kitchenette and a double bedroom and bathroom with water closet.

The Mas was built by a Belgian architect in 2001 to integrate with its spectacular setting in the Valle des Baux at the foot of the Alpilles hills. The location is a haven of peace and there are panoramic views from the terraces and pool area. A large covered terrace provides a pleasant dinning area and extends onto a smaller uncovered decked terrace overlooking the garden. To the side of the Mas is a shady garden with a stone fountain, ideal for relaxing on hot summer afternoons. The large pool has an electric cover and is set in a large terrace with sun loungers and a covered seating area. There is a pool house with a sink, fridge, shower, and water closet with a sauna as well.
